Freedom Empowering Capital Management LLC (“we,” “us”) operates Lectio at lectodivina.com. We are a for-profit company based in Colorado. We are not a church and not a nonprofit. You can reach us at freedomempowering1@yahoo.com.
Lectio is a Bible reading and prayer app. It is not medical, counseling, or crisis care. If you are in crisis in the United States, call or text 988.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and password (or your Google sign-in) if you create an account.
- Prayers: prayer requests you type, including the title, details, category, priority, and any note you add when you mark a prayer answered.
- Your preferences: the season of life you optionally choose (such as grief, a decision, parenting, doubt, or gratitude), your study depth, your reading plan, and your daily-reminder setting and time.
- Progress: reading progress, quiz results, memory-verse reviews, streaks, and challenge progress.
- Groups: group name, group type, description, the passage you assign, and reflections members post if sharing is turned on.
- Accountability partners: the names and email addresses of partners you invite, and the progress shown on the share link you create.
- Contact form: your name, email, and message if you write to us.
- Technical data: information needed to run the app and keep you signed in, such as a session identifier and basic device and browser details.
We do not collect your precise location, and we do not use advertising pixels.
How we use it
We use your information only to run Lectio: to store your prayers and progress, to personalize your daily reading, to send the daily reminder if you turn it on, to show group members the content you share with them, to send your accountability partner the link you created, to answer your messages, to fix bugs, and to process payments if you subscribe.
Session recording
To find and fix problems, the app may record how pages are used (for example, taps and page changes). Password and email fields are masked in these recordings. We are working to mask personal text such as prayers, reflections, and group notes as well. You can email us to ask that recordings tied to your account be deleted.
AI-generated content
Daily reflections, guided sessions, summaries, quizzes, definitions, and “go deeper” notes are generated by AI models through our app platform. When you use these features, the text you enter (for example, a passage or a season you selected) is sent to the AI provider to create a response. AI content is not written by a pastor and is not reviewed by a person before you see it. Please don’t type anything into an AI feature that you want to keep strictly private.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share it only with service providers that help us run Lectio, and only as needed for that purpose:
- Base44, which hosts the app, its database, and sign-in.
- AI model providers, used through Base44 to generate AI content.
- Stripe, which processes payments if you subscribe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Google, if you choose to sign in with Google, and for web fonts.
- Our email provider, to send reminders and replies.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Children
Lectio is not directed at children under 13. You must be 13 or older to create an account, join a group, or enter a prayer. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data, prayers, and progress until you delete your account or ask us to delete them. You can delete your account in Settings, which removes your prayers, progress, groups, and reflections and signs you out. You can also email us to request deletion of anything else tied to your account, such as contact messages or partner emails.
Your choices and rights
You can view and edit most of your information in the app. You can turn the daily reminder off at any time in Settings. To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, email freedomempowering1@yahoo.com from the address on your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, and we will honor requests as required by applicable law.
Security
We use the security protections provided by our hosting and payment providers. No online service is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant, we will let account holders know in the app or by email.
